ASUS Shows Its Padfone 2 With Android 4.0


There were rumors about it, there were leaked images of it, and there were many speculations surrounding the Asus Padfone 2. Now, Asus finally has launched their Padfone 2 to put all the speculations surrounding this unique product to an end.


The Asus Padfone is priced at $620 in USA (estimated Rs 32,739) and $750 (estimated Rs 39,607). However, if you want the Padfone station then you will have to pay an extra $210 (estimated Rs 11,089).


The Asus smartphone in the Padfone boasts a 4.7-in Super IPS+ 720p display having Corning Fit Glass. You can further increase the screen size using the Padfone docking station, which comes with a 10.1-in 1280 x 800 IPS display.


Asus has also given the next version of their smartphone-tablet combo having 2GB RAM and a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor.


The Padfone 2 also has NFC capabilities and is powered by a 2,140mAh battery. Asus also gives the user 50GB WebStorage for around two years.


The battery offered for the combo is 5,000 mAh. The Asus Padfone also has a 13 MP rear camera along with a front-facing 1.2 MP camera.


The Padfone 2 smartphone-tablet combo runs Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which later can be upgraded to Jelly Bean.


We haven’t heard anything officially on the pricing of Asus Padfone 2, but the device will come in three variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
