Google Now Allows App History Deleting

App downloading has become more of a hobby, than need for the modern users. Most of the apps that we come across are downloaded on our phone, soon to realize that this app is of no use. So, we delete that app, with a slight probability of downloading it once again in near future. So, what do you do when you need to install it once again? You go to the do the download history page and re-download the app from the Google Play Store history. However, more often than not, you find yourself strangled in the web of never ending list of apps in at the history page, which is something that is not easy to get rid of.

Addressing to that problem, Google has now developed the feature to let you delete the app history. In the past, you would be stuck with this long list of apps but, thankfully, that is not the case now as Google has now lets you delete apps from your app download history through your Android device.


This new feature was enabled sometime back, so if you are not aware of how to do it or are having trouble in following up, then make sure you are running the latest variant of the Play Store app.


The instructions for deleting the app history are as follows:

  • Open the Play Store app, tap the menu button located on the (upper-right corner) and then tap My Apps
  • It will open up an extensive list of apps that are presently installed on your phone and you even will see certain apps that have an update available with you. As for now, just overlook that and swipe right to left on the display to over all section.
  • This will open up all the apps that your Google account has ever downloaded including the free & paid both. Here you could download any free app from your history just by tapping the circle with red line through it (the worldwide symbol for "no"). Every time an app is deleted, the entire list will be refreshed, so in case you want to delete multiple apps, you might want to select more than one app at a time.
  • For selecting multiple apps, you will have to long press on any of your apps until the device vibrates and the app is selected. After that, you can keep the long press on the apps that are listed in your history and tap the delete icon right on top of the screen as soon as you are done.
