Google's Latest Smartphone Offering Is A Hit

Google’s latest offering, the LG Nexus 4 has turned out to be a major hit. Contrary to popular belief, the Nexus 4 sold out completely well within an hour of its launch. The reason behind the instant success of the handset could be anything from its software, its hardware or may be its budget pricing.

Developed by LG, the Nexus 4 runs Google’s latest Android Jelly Bean, v4.2, prior to its debut on any other smartphone. This update brings plethora of useful if not heavy inclusions.

Drag two fingers down the handset’s display and the new OS brings a fresh shortcut menu for your most popular settings. Swipe the fingers on the left, while unlocking the phone and you can add widgets for instant access to mail, calendar, or messenger.

The camera of LG’s Nexus 4 has also given software enhancement. Double tap a round icon and you will get instant access to the settings of the camera, while the new Photo Sphere mode easily stitches the 360-degree views as one automatically.

Even if you keep the software aside, the Nexus 4 can easily be identified as a Google offering, thanks to its curved form. Unlikely, though it flaunts Corning Gorilla Glass 2 on front and rear, with the rear end given a glossy treatment.

The frontage of the device houses a 4.7-inch IPS screen, which is rather attractive and shows the commendable job LG has done. The 320ppi resolution of the display is much sharper than what its price suggests.

The only problem with this handset is that the memory here cannot be expanded and the battery is rather average. The glass frontage of the device might get a bit clumsier for users. However, the LG Nexus 4 overall is a rather impressive handset and is bound to impress you.
