HTC will launch a new Windows Phone product in 2013

HTC confirmed that it plans to release new Windows Phone 8 smartphone later this year. HTC have just announced their new Android-based phone, the HTC One. The company launched the HTC Windows Phone 8X in November and the cheaper HTC Windows Phone 8S.

"We are actually fully committed to our Windows Phone business. We do have good collaboration with Microsoft for a future release this year", said reports.

"I understand that Windows Phone 8 is not as good as the market expected, we think that it could take time and we will continue working with them."

HTC seems to have no plans for a large screen Windows Phone handset as of now saying that the company “wishes to have bigger displays”, it needs to find the right way for consumers based on “real human data”.

HTC will offer a mid-range handset running Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system in the coming months. The device, which is known internally as the “HTC Tiara,” is said to be equipped with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and an 8-megapixel rear camera. Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 1,800 mAh battery.

The Tiara will reportedly be one of the first devices running the latest update to the Windows Phone 8 platform when it launches in mid-May. HTC is also rumored to be working on two unannounced tablets that will run on Windows RT.
