Internet Doomsday Predicted on Monday, July 9th, 2012

Millions of users across the world will not be able to use the internet on Monday, July 9th 2012. According to the reports coming in, the cause behind the alleged “Internet Doomsday†is the DNSChanger virus that the hackers have attached to US servers. The DNSChanger allows the hackers to reroute the web traffic, consequently affecting the infected computers. According to the Cyber agencies, the virus is expected to target the financial transactions taking place online. The same DNSChanger malware attack took place last year, because of which US placed two alternative servers to take care of the attack rather than taking down the infected servers. Now these alternative servers will shut down at Monday, 12:00 am, affecting millions of users across the globe. However, if you are expecting a workless Monday then don’t get excited. McAfee has recently launched a free tool to counter the 'DNSChanger' Trojan. This free tool will allow the users to stay connected to the internet even after the servers are taken down on Monday, July 9, 2012.
