Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S II delayed

As per the reports, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S II has been delayed till February.

Samsung has been busy updating all of their Galaxy S III flagship phones and popular Note II’s to the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean which adds new features and multi-window modes to the phones. While for the Galaxy S II Jelly Bean will be a huge improvement.

The folk’s states that the update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S II will start next month.

Reports are also confirming that this will not be available over-the-air as usual, and users have to update manually using Samsung Kies Sync utility. Most of the Galaxy S II line got ICS back in June and July, and it looks like February and March will be Jelly Bean time.

Along with the OS upgrade, Samsung will be including new features like Smart Stay, keeping the phone’s display lit until it detects the user is no longer looking at it; and Pop-Up Play, which gives users the ability to watch a video in a small window while doing other tasks on the phone. It’s nice to see Samsung keeping their promise and updating their highly popular devices.
