Possibility of Galaxy S IV to support futuristic gesture technology

It was last March when Sony announced the Xperia sola. While this mid range smart phone was not that impressive, there was one unique feature that was really notable and striking. The Xperia sola was endowed with “floating touch” technology which made the smart phone capable of what Sony called as magic web browsing and also made way for users to navigate through the phone devoid of touching the screen. According to a report, a similar kind of feature may be added to its upcoming Galaxy S IV smart phone too.

It is rumored that the company is making use of Atmel’s latest maXTouch S chip that allows non-touch gesture based navigation throughout the operating system. This technology is capable of recognizing unintended touches and also requires significantly less power than the similar features.

There are recent reports that suggest that the Galaxy S IV will possess a 4.99 inch super AMOLED full HD display. Additionally, it would be powered by an incredible 1.8 GHz eight core Exnoys 5 Octa processor. As far as the camera is concerned, it will feature a 13 megapixel camera. Also, it is expected to include LTE connectivity, MicroSD slot, 2 GB RAM, NFC, wireless charging capabilities. It would boast the operating system of Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. This smart phone will be reportedly announced at a press conference on March 15th.
