Sony Brings Xperia SL, Xperia Miro, And Xperia J Smartphones To India

Sony is going all out to expand its reach in the Indian market. In their latest maneuver, the company has launched their Xperia J, Xperia Miro, and Xperia SL Smartphones in the Indian market.

The latest entrants in the Xperia series the Xperia Miro was unveiled alongside Xperia Tipo and Xperia Tipo dual smartphones back in June. The Sony Xperia Miro runs an 800MHz Snapdragon processor supported by 512 MB RAM. The internal storage space of Miro is 3GB, which further can be expanded to 32GB using microSD card.

The Sony Xperia SL boasts a 4.3-in scratch resistant TFT display having native resolution of 1280 x 720-pixels and runs Google’s Android 4.0 (it can be upgraded to Jelly Bean). The processing power for the device comes from a 1.7GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. The Xperia S is the successor of Sony’s Xperia S smartphone and this time around comes with 32GB internal storage with 26GB available for user and has FM radio and NFC capabilities.

The Sony Xperia SL is a PlayStation Certified device, and allows playing PlayStation games using virtual keys. There also is the Sony Entertainment Network, but sadly, it will be inactive for Indian customers. The phone pretty much like most of the Sony smartphones is DLNA certified.

The Sony Xperia J entered the market alongside Xperia T and Xperia V smartphones and has a 4-inch capacitive touch screen with native resolution of 854 x 480 pixels in its 9.2mm body. The display here has gorilla glass coating. The Xperia J runs Android 4.0 and we haven’t heard anything on the Jelly Bean upgrade. The Xperia J has a 5MP autofocus camera on the rear end with LED flash and a VGA camera on the front.

The processing power for the Xperia J comes from a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor with 512MB RAM. The internal memory of the phone is around 4GB, and can be further enhanced to 32GB of using microSD card. The power for Xperia J comes from 1,750-mAh battery. The connectivity features of the smartphone include 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth, and A-GPS.
