To Raise Cash Nokia Might Sell its Finland Headquarters
 

 

Things aren’t going well with Nokia, which once ruled the mobile phone market in the world.  The Finnish mobile maker was already finding it hard to catch up with Android and iOS powered smartphones in the market and has faced severe financial losses over the past few years.

According to latest reports suffering a net loss of 1.4 billion Euros in the second quarter of this year, Nokia might sell their Head office in Espoo, Finland and will take it back on lease.

The cash deprived mobile maker is already exploring new ways of raising the cash. The recent one being job cuts from different Nokia facilities. However, a spokesperson from Nokia told of the company having $4 billion of cash pile to support the operations.  It is rumored that the headquarters to be sold by Nokia is worth 200 to 300 million Euros.

The path to glory doesn’t seem smooth for Nokia, but still we hope that the company succeeds in creating the magic they once had, to get back on the top. If, and when it happens, it will give consumers some more potent options to choose from, in addition to the current crop of Android and iOS models. and Apple iOS operating system.  Nokia is promising big things with its tie up with software giant Microsoft by manufacturing Smartphone running on Microsoft’s Windows operating system.
