Updated Nokia Transport Available for Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8 and Symbian

Nokia has just released an updated version of Nokia Transport.  The new Nokia Transport comes with more precise directions and segmented route maps for when you need precise instructions to find your way.

That enhancement comes along with a redesigned interface to give you an innate and comfortable experience.  The updated variant is available for Windows Phone 7, Windows Phone 8, and Symbian.

The maximum feature changes will be available for Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8 users, who receive a segmented map offering thorough image of a path.  There also is a envisage feature, which lets the user to view the path in advance and select the route plans putting a future destination and travel date.  Users can also select the distances in kilometers and miles, as per the liking and could view how much departure time is left or can find the exact timings for something that is scheduled for departure.  In addition, users will be able to fetch route history, or can even delete the route history if you intend to keep your journey a secret.

For the Symbian Users, the update is a bit different including a completely revamped search function and user experience.  In addition, there is a brand new functionality for getting over-the-air coverage revise, which eliminates the requirement of downloading a brand new app whenever there is a new area extension available.  As for now, the new app is in its beta stage and is only available through Nokia Beta Labs.

At present, the Nokia Transport covers around 53 nations and 550 cities, and, as per the company, the database is constantly growing.  You can easily find out whether the navigation/mapping platform covers a region, you are looking for by going through the comprehensive coverage page on Nokia’s website.  Enter Your News Here
