Nokia to launch new entry-level phone 105 in April

Nokia is ready to launch its new entry-level phone in April, the Nokia 105 for Rs. 1200.

The Nokia 105 would mark the end of Nokia's entry-level black and white phones (including that of Nokia 1280), and herald the beginning of colour phones in the "low-cost" basic phone market, said reports.

The phone comes with a 1.4 inch display, FM radio and provides the users a Speaking Alarm Clock. However, the handset's USP is its claimed 12.5 hrs talktime and 35 days standby time. Nokia 105 is expected to be introduced in Andhra Pradesh initially, after which it is slated to be available in the other states. The Nokia phone doesn't offer anything extraordinary, apart from the fact that it comes from a brand that is known for reliability and found acceptance across India.

Nokia 105, despite being an entry-level handset has the potential to be successful, considering its expected "ultra-low" price tag.
